Summary (from Amazon)
“Scorching chemistry. Red-hot lyrics. An irresistible bad boy.
Halo, the new lead singer for Fallen Angel, never stood a chance against Viper, the legendary lead guitarist for the band.
From the moment Halo set foot in Viper’s lair, the match was lit, threatening to consume the two men with the heat of their desire. But when their casual flings begins to morph into more, will it leave the entire band in flames?
After all, it may have been Halo who fell from grace, but it’s only a matter of time before Viper falls for an angel.“ „VIPER - Fallen Angel 2”(written by @ellafrank1 and brookeblaine1) continues the story of "HALO".
Review:
It took me some time to get my shit together after reading this book. I was thorn between “Do I like it”, “Do I love it”, “Do I dislike it.” In the end, I went for “I love it”. The reason for this decision is quite easy: I struggled with the “straight man fell for gay man on an instant” – and that was what happened in Book 1. So, in this book, the all-time single Viper realizes that there’s more between Halo and himself. Something more than a One-Night-Stand, but definitely less than love.
The reason why Viper is anxious about feelings and bounding with another people on a level higher then friendship was explained a little later in the book and finally some of his actions were starting to make sense. I loved the scene on the beach, where Viper opened up a little, after the major fuck up between him and Halo.
We learn a lot about these two. At a slower pace. With more emotions. More reasons why Viper is the way he is. As we learn more about the bad boy, the more I thought that Halo must’ve seen beneath Vipers mask.
All in all, this book makes sense as you read through it. Loose strings come together, forming a whole and there’s so much explanation going on in this one. What I didn’t like too much was the rage fuck after Viper lost his mind at his mom’s house. I won’t talk about this too much, because I won’t throw major spoilers here. But that’s the only part in this story that I totally didn’t like. The rest was really, really ok.
VIPER – Fallen Angel 2: 5/5* (now, I’m going to take pictures for Book 3)
